(⊙o⊙)…很简单啊。黑客帝国4就是解救尼奥的故事啊。在前三部故事里，尼奥为了拯救人类去和机器大帝谈判，他哪来的谈判筹码呢？因为在过程中尼奥成长为超能者，就是精神力异常强大的人，进入矩阵就飞天遁地，回到现实也是开了天眼，徒手用超能力对付几个机器人不成问题。当史密斯成长为人类和机器的公害后，机器大帝也坐不住了，因为单凭他收拾不了史密斯，当然单凭尼奥也无法收拾史密斯。这需要尼奥和机器大帝联手，首先有尼奥击败史密斯，然后史密斯黑化尼奥时夺取代码，再由机器大帝出手杀毒，联手前提条件就是人类和机器罢战。这样，史密斯被基本杀绝，而尼奥在精神和肉体上惨遭重创，落入机器手里。
黑客帝国4里，尼奥的精神在矩阵里被控制了，但作为超能者来说，他的精神力发电量极为巨大，机器可舍不得毁了尼奥。但对于超能者来说总是要觉醒恢复记忆。有个电脑人心理医生就引导尼奥给他吃蓝药，通过倒带手段使尼奥认为觉醒的记忆只是自己的奇思妙想。尼奥成了游戏创作者，并创作了黑客帝国123。
尼奥精神不稳定，总想自杀，在一次跳楼自杀时这个情景被一个给大厦擦窗户的女人看到了，她看到了尼奥的变脸，她对这个世界起疑心了。这个女的叫bugs，她觉醒后领导带人寻找并解决尼奥。最后，尼奥自由啦。
